My problem is I like all colors, but am opinionated about what works for a particular project. I have found that the "psychology of colors" is very interesting. We each have a programmed response to color, that gives a personality to a car ....or big rig, for that matter. I consider it a "secret weapon" that many painters don't think about. It's like "What do you want? a look of power ...value ...excitement, or do you want it "dreamy ...exotic ....sinister ....angelic? Some colors have come to stand for certain things, like gold or olive drab. There is also the link we have to combinations, like red, white & blue. You can really make a statement, before you even think about graphics!

I guess we could start a whole new thread about these things. :-)

Nice looking work! I wish bikes would pick up again. I have one I'm working on occasionally, but alot of those guys went to bobbers and flat black.

    Are those your girlfriends? :-)

I guess the problem I have is that the cars and bikes I paint, or design schemes for, are all so highly modified. Most of what I do is self-taught, but when I have more time, I may check to see if there is a class at our local community college that might allow me some guideance in learning how to use one of these programs. What do you two guys think?

Thanks a lot guys! When the time comes, I'll play around with it, and ask questions if I get stuck.

Much of the stuff I have done recently is some of my best, but is "classified" until the projects are done. I will have to go back a ways for stuff that is okay to show.

Here is one where we explored some flag-inspired ideas for a Corvette ...and a funnycar from my website.
