    429 - 460 crank

am building a 429 or 460 ford motor . it has dove heads but tried to put a 460 stud girdle on it and couldnt because the webs on the crank hit the girdle. was told i need to get a stroker girdle but it is a stock stroke crank
    ANY IDEAS ???

I suspect it's a truck crank. I've seen these with larger counterweights than a crank from a car. Same thing on Big Block Chevy. Car crank, truck crank.

Having looked at other threads in this section i have established that i have a 429 crank as it has 4U stamped on it. Does the truck crank thing still apply??? And just out of interest what truck came out with a 429 in it ?
