    Stovens, I have two 300 Win Mags and like both of them very much. Both of mine are custom rifles and one is my match rifle that I shot in competetion. I have found the 300 Win Mag to be a good solid and accurate rifle, but it is for sure over kill for those Ca. Black Tails you guys have out there. The only real problem ( and for you it may not be a problem at all ) is recoil. Shoot one of these a lot on a given day and it can be a problem for some casual shooters. It is a good choice for a long range rifle and should serve you well.
