what do you think of this for my truck?

I'v decided to keep my '98 Ranger for a while.. I'll just keep the Chevy within a 50 mile radius and drive it everywhere..

anyway, I'v been thinking on making a few improvements.. possibly a Hurst shifter. few other things come to mind, but subtle changes. not into the slammed look, or the huge wheels, if I end up going custom to any degree, it'll get 2006 badges, 2006 mirror's and a few other stock things from newer rangers.. also got thinking about a little paint work.. I'm no photoshop expert, but what about somthing like this? seperated with a silver pinstripe at the body line?

    here is the original picture

lol... actually looks pretty good like that.. I use Gimp instead of photoshop, and it's a little rougher around the edges than photoshop but preforms the same functions if you know what they are.. I can only get it to select by simmilar colors.. you can see in my Gallery, I turned an old Jag pink ( joke for a friend of mine ), and it took me a while, and even it isn't the greatest

Personally, I think if you plan to sell it in a few months or a year, just leave it alone and invest your time & money in the Chevy. You could do simple things like change the grille or the rims but any "personalized" things you do to the paint, etc. will narrow your potential buyers down to people who share your same taste and won't really raise the resale value of the truck. It currently looks like a nice clean little truck and would probably be easy to sell that way. JMHO.

yea, I keep looking at it, and I just can't see it.. I'll probably do the Hurst shifter, so it has a firmer/ nicer shift.. stock shifters are known to be fairly sloppy in comparison

Actully, aside from the huge rims and aftermarket bumper on the top 1, that's actully not bad lol...

I gave the truck a face lift. got it done a few weeks ago, just never updated this thread

now it's got a 2001-2003 XLT chrome grille, 2001-2003 Chrome 4x4 bumper and a 2001-2003 Ranger Edge lower valance and I have some '95-'97 Ranger/ Explorer 15" rims with the egg shaped holes. to go on just need tires for them..
