    I always liked the way the Crosleys and Metropolitans were built for altered classes. For the younger enthusiasts, the wheelbase was too short for legal competition, but in Altered you could shove the front axle outside the body....which made for some wild looking race cars! I remember a max wedge powered Metro that raced around central Illinois, that always got my attention. I'll see if I can find a couple pictures.
