I just had to get out there and go for a run today to try out my new side windows. There is still snow in the fence corners, and the temp is only 50 degrees F, but the sun is shining. The windows make a big difference--much less wind blowing thru the cab at 70 MPH and a whole host of new squeaks and rattles that I never heard before because of wind noise. It only takes a few seconds to fit the window into the front slot and run a couple of 1/4" wing-nuts over the studs that hold the lexan in place. One thing I did discover---when the passenger side door springs open onto the second catch on a bad bump, I can no longer grab the top of the damn thing and slam it shut.--Will have to fab a couple of door pulls, I guess. I will only be using these windows on long haul trips---as in 350 to 400 miles a day on my trip down to the Atlantic Nationals in New Brunswick. The rest of the time they will live in a cloth bag in the back of the truck, under my locking tonneau cover.--Let the hotrodding season commence--
