No thanks Don, I would pay top money for a rust-free car like you thought it was to begin with, but observable rust is like looking at an iceberg. You only see 10% of it.

Yep, I concur. From the way he described it, the car was totally rustfree.
When I mentioned that to him he said "well, it is, for 71 years old!"
To be honest, I was relieved. If it were nicer I would have bought it, and not only don't I need it, but the car isn't one I had on my "must own some day" list.

That would be considered rust free in the Northeast.. if it were up here, it would be about the best you could get.. my '51 Chevy is only a slight bit nicer condition because it had an ok original interior, with usable seat covers and 3 good door panals ( stained but they might have been cleanable ).. It still needed a lot of body workYou don't know what you've got til it's gone

I know what you mean about it being pretty good in some parts of the country.......even here they rust. This one can definitely be saved, and should be saved, but it is just more than I would want to undertake. Now, if this were a 32 Ford 3 window......................

I check in everyday and some are better than others. I don't think Brent has anything to do with the forum anymore, but I'm not sure. Hopefully as time moves on the forum will get better.
Where is everybody?
