Hehe, terrific story Brian. All of us who grew up back then have similar stories, and it's a wonder we got to be this old. Somehow we never thought anything bad would happen, we just put a rope on them and dragged them home.

My wife of 28 years was always my "tow truck driver", towing some newfound project home, with me sitting in the new car at the end of a chain. She hated it and swore each time that she would never do it again. Finally, she was towing me home one day and she drove like a bat out of hell, all I could see was her smoking a cigarette and ignoring all my hand gestures to slow down. She scared the bejesus out of me. When we got home she said "There, how did you like that? Now, don't EVER ask me to tow you again!" I didn't.
