I had to pass this one along. You can't make this stuff up.

My Son Don just bought a boat from a local Spanish church, it had been donated to the church by a member and they were selling it. The name of the church is Jesus Es Amore (Jesus is love). Don took the title to the DMV to get the title transferred, and this is sort of how the conversation went:

Don: Hi, I'd like to transfer this title into my name.

Lady at DMV: Well, the title is signed by the wrong person.

Don: What do you mean?

Lady: Well it's signed by Pastor Carlos, but the title is in the name of Jesus Es Amore.

Don: No. The church is named Jesus Es Amore, and Carlos is the Pastor.

Lady: Well, I need to see Jesus here to sign this title.

Don: (Trying to keep a straight face) I don't think he will be coming.

Lady: Well, if I can't verify that he owns this boat I can't transfer the title.

Don: (starting to crack up now) You don't understand, Jesus Es Amore is the name of the church and Carlos is the Pastor and authorized to sign.

Lady: I'm sorry Sir, but I really need to have Jesus come in and sign this title in front of me.


He was finally able to convince her to pull up the articles of incorporation showing that Pastor Carlos was authorized to sign for Jesus, so he got the title transferred. Like I said, you can't make this stuff up!
