I've always been a Chevy guy, BUT...

I'd MUCH rather have a new Hemi Challenger....

Just my opinion, but compared to the Mustang and especially the new Challenger, Chevy fell WAY short in the styling department with the Camaro. And it's still TOO BIG!!!

    Regards,
    Shea

P.S. Not that my opinion matters, hell I can't even afford a diecast version!

first time i've heard someone say they fell short in styling. i guess if you like the carbon copy versions of the mustang and challenger to the originals than you would be right . too big how? the camaro is smaller than the Challenger in every demension and its lighter...they're both fat pigs, but that's what they are giving us and i'll take it

I also think GM failed on the new styling of the camaro , looks like an angry kitchen appliance then a car . To many sharp angles & points , same with all the new Cadillacs I work on everyday .

Ford hit it with the new styled Mustang & Chrysler hit it with the new Challenger , but Chevy missed it the Camaro IMO !
They will sell just because the camaro is back .

I mean, the Camaro was initially going to make it's comeback a number of years ago.....

I wish they would do away with the rear seats in camaros, they're just not big enough for extra people.
The only thing camaros are meant to haul, is ass!!!

Camero shamero, they've been dangling that carrot for what 3 years? 4? Just like the SST, by the time it got here everyone was already tired of it. How long does it take to get a car into production? Not this long for sure. Boring

I must agree with those that believe the Challenger is a home run, and the new Camaro is a bunt... And for the record, I'm a Chevy guy...

Wow ... I was always a mopar guy but I was dissapointed in the bloated Challenger.. I haven't seen the camaro in the flesh yet so I'll reserve my jugement on that one..Why do these things have to be so damn heavy anyways?? Oink

If I respond much more in this thread I'll likely end up getting banned from the site but we'll see

when the camaro went away in '02 it was said it would be back but there was no date until after the '06 concept came out. Aug '06 it was confirmed that it would be back. less than 3 years (the car will be on the road this spring) to take a concept and completely build it from scratch is not bad. when you take an LX car and cut the rear doors off, things tend to move a lot faster...

a camaro with two less seats is a corvette
