I have had two strings of lights which dont' work.. finally pulled them down and checked one out. Pulled each bulb, and ohmed it out. Was quite surprised at how many were burned out ( considering the string goes out when one bulb dies ). Got to the end of the string, and it still didn't work. Threw the whole mess in the trash.

Okay - so how come the lights work fine before we put them away in the attic and then the next year when we go to plug them in, they don't? Am I missing something here? I mean there's no moving parts that I'm aware of - what goes on in the dark side of the attic anyway??

Seriously, the wife got LED lights for the tree this year and they look fabulous - kinda spendy yet, but supposed to last forever. We'll revisit this next year when they emerge from the attic!!

Merry Christmas and Blessings to All!

We usually try to shame our neighbors into putting up lots of lights. But this year it's been to freaking cold so far to even go outside, so unless it warms up a tad over the next week or so, candles in the windows might have to do.

I know you guys are all kidding. When it (Christmas ) gets here every one will have it looking good.

I do think it is to commercialized and it makes one lose interest. We have really lost the true meaning of Christmas. We now want to call it something other than Christmas.Me i'm staying with the word Christmas.

We put some lights up outside after thanksgiving. Put the tree & lights up in the living room but no ornaments yet. Lights for the office are in the office.......but still in the box. If I get time in the next couple days I might run an extension cord over to the box.

I go to mass on Christmas Eve...end of celebration.... I refuse to participate in all the other crap.

Hey Pro, betcha that's one attractive box when it's all lit up!!!! I was thinking of getting a red light bulb and a green light bulb, have them shinin' on the Ranchero when I give him his Christmas presents.... Pretty festive, huh?????

Yea, there's nothing like a festive box to put me in the Christmas spirit.

Watching our grandson Ethan (who will be 2 days shy of 10 months old @ Christmas time) will be all the cheer I will need.
