My first car (of about 75) was a '53 BelAir 2-door sedan. I don't know if "magic touch" is the way I would describe it. It had the 216, until I went to the larger 235 from a '58. Then it had just enough power to break the factory 3-speeds and U-joints regularly.
My next car was a '57 Bel Air 2-door hardtop with with a solid lifter 283 4 barrel and muncie 4-speed. Now THAT...was the magic touch!!! I still miss that car!
