dave , since you will be new to texas let me bring you up to date on shops here.
metal building tend to rain inside here a lot . no skylites in my new one . save yourself a lot of headaches and have it spray foamed. sooner or later the screws will start to leak. roll insulation gets brittle after a while plus will fill up with water when the leaks start. my old shop had skylites and no insulation. on certain days it would rain inside all day. my new shop i put up 10 years ago has roll insulation. if i could i would tear it out and foam it.
