Why not? Seems like a non issue. If they are good enough to play, they will, if not, they won't. Might get hurt? Might not either. They will wonder for the rest of their lives if they could have pulled it off. If they are stopped by someone else, all they can do is wonder. I've always tried to protect my kids from the real dangers in this world, just like any other parent.
