    34_40,

Sorry to laugh but that is one of the best stories I have read in some time. That was as bad as some of the stupid things I did when I was young. A friend of mine and I get together from time to time and talk about all the dumb things we did as kids and wonder how we are still alive. But I am still happy that I was a kid before the Govt. decided to take over and make everything safe for us.

I'll have to adopt Too Many 2 Count as my temporary alias, if he'll allow it; that fits me to a "T". A goodly part of them were related to pushing things a bit too far with my right foot, though. I could come up with things for days, and you'd all get bored, so I will jus leave it at that.

Don't know where to begin. Most had to do with cars and speed, but there were a few really dumb ones that had to do with boats, water and swimming. And one big one that had to do with a Cessna 182, a trip to Burlington NC with two friends, neither of which had pilot licenses. At times it was a both fun and scary, and I wouldn't do it again. That trip really brought home the saying that "any landing you can walk away from is a good landing".

Lucky to have lived as long as I have.

A good friend will come and bail you out of jail....but a true friend will be sitting next to you saying..."Damn....that was fun!

When I was putting myself through junior college at age 23....I worked a full time job....and a part time job on top of that. Needless to say....there were times I shouldnt have been driving. Tried to re-inact my favorite episode of Dukes of Hazzard on the way to school one morning. Woke up in the rear seat of the Grand National out in the middle of a field. Then drove 15 miles to the college, with a hole in the fuel tank. I dropped the 2nd job.

And one more: Does this have to be in the past? I had just put a turbo on the little RX and was going through town (sober!) at 2am on New Years eve a couple years ago. Got to a 4 way and thought I'd lite up the tires. Less than 10' (yes...10') away a policeman flipped on his lights. Even more embarrassing than my age was the fact that I grew up with him.
