$1.59. Down from $1.61.
We have been sitting at 1.57 for a few days.
Saw on the news yesterday there are some gas stations somewhere in NC having a gas war.........got down to 91 cents and they think it may go lower! There were huge lines going in for gas............no wonder! :D:D
Don
great now all the people can keep their motor homes and SUVs and we can go dry even sooner.
98 octane $1.50, 95 octane $1.45, 92 octane $1.40 per litre here in New Zealand now approximately
Maybe it will get to 25 cents a gallon, and '32 Fords will be available for $ 25, and new cars will sell for $ 1500, and..............OMG, WE'RE IN A TIME WARP!!!:eek::LOL::LOL:
Don
We can only hope!
.....and of course here in the land of fees and taxes (NY) average price is $1.81 though my two local guys are $1.71:mad:
Just bought it at 1.45 this morn in Harrison! **)

It's running around $1.45 here in NW Phoenix there is a Shell @ $1.39.9 this is for 87 octane depending on the grade it can go .10 to .20 higher.I used some 401K money to buy oil stocks  Win some, lose some I guess.
You can find it in the St Louis area for $1.19 to $1.37
here in GA it jumped a dime for Christmas, but is back down now.
Any body watch the news to night, trouble in Isaral. Not good for the price with oil going up.Hope it dont last long
This is one of those situations where we KNOW it will be back up there again, but we just keep thinking "maybe it won't go as high as it was." But I know in my heart it is just a matter of time before this little "gift" goes away and we will be happily paying $ 4 or more a gallon. It has to happen, there is no way the oil powers will allow the enormous profits they were once making to be lost for long. A little "oil shortage" here and a little "long gas lines" there and we will be right back in the old wallet once again, and thrilled that we were able to top off.
It isn't doom and gloom, but just reality IMO.
Don
I have to say I'm enjoying driving my 10mpg truck while the prices are down. I put 12 gallons in yesterday and it was "only" about $20, not the $50 in early October:LOL::LOL:
My wife and I were in Kansas City over the weekend and prices there were hovering at $1.36 while it's $1.39 here.
Today in Alabama, Phenix city: 1.47
Oh oh, is the party over already????? Gas had been hovering in the $ 1.56-$1.65 range here for a while, suddenly it is starting to climb. Most stations I see now are in the $ 1.89 range, almost overnight. Hope this is just a temporary jump and isn't just the beginning of an upward spiral. I know $1.89 is still a deal, but it jumped $ .30 like right now.
I know it had to happen eventually, but I had hoped it wasn't so soon. :(:(:(
Don
I think we will need to rename the thread to gas prices going up! Paid 1.99 last night and same place went up to 2.09 today. I hope your right and this is only a temp bump!
Our low a month a 2 ago was $1.49. We are back up to $1.97. Didn't crude take a $6 drop today? :whacked:
Same thing happening here, went from low of $1.52, same station now $2.03. This in about 3 weeks. Deja Vu? Can't seem to find an explanation why. Anyone know?
Pat
Rumors that OPEC is probably going to cut back on production.......DDSS......Control the suppy, raise the demand....The price follows.
Bush hasn't been able to control the prices, in about 12 days we'll see what happens when Obama takes office.
Just paid 2.19 a gallon for regular unleaded. This price pushes a fill up to just over $30 bucks. I know it's a hell of a lot better than $65, but it was relly nice doing it for under 30 while it lasted. $29 just seems so much less!
Well it's time to ressurect this thread with gas going from 2.50 a gallon 2 weeks ago to 2.71 a gallon tonight. It went up 5 cents from last night alone!
Wierd thing is diesel is now 2.49 lower than regular like before the last round of upsies!
Yep, the party is over.:( With the leaps it has been taking it won't be long before it's $ 3 again, then that $ 4 figure is just a little ways more down the road.
It was nice while it lasted. We all kept hoping that it might stay around $ 2, but deep in our hearts we knew it was just temporary.
Don
yes the same thing is going on here. gas is going back up. just when it is time for all the car shows and cruises.
I wonder who they are gonna blame it on now? No more bush to kick around.
I went out to do some errands on Wednesday morning, and intended on filling up - it had been $2.37 Tuesday evening. It was now $2.41. OK, not too bad, I'll fill on the way home. Oops!! 2 hours later it's $2.46. Last night at 10:30 it was $2.49 - and diesel was only $2.29. Go figure that one out.
My guess - it's greed by the oil companies as the cost of crude has gone up some but not in a proportional amount. But it's still $1.75 less then last year:o:eek:
Yeah, it was great for awhile, we've been jumping some 20 cents a week and it's 2.30 to 2.40 here in southeastern Mass. plus the politicos just raised the sales tax rate AND the fuel taxes! People buy less fuel, the state gets less money, they don't know how to spend less tho'.!!
still 2.19 around here . but we'll see how long that last when they start the " summer blend " that's oil slang for " screw'em when they need it "
And I heard on the news last week that gasoline inventories are at there highest since 1990. Bend over, here it comes:whacked:.
Two weeks ago, gas here was 1.89, now it is 2.35. Thats an increase of .46 in two weeks.
Jackie
hay look at the bright side if gas goes to 4.00 per gal. the government can save us they can take over and run the oil companies like they did the banks and auto mfg. we all know how well that's working out ......ted
It's Memorial Day weekend, gas prices always go up....... schools out, Mom, Dad, and the kids are on vacation.... Nothing new here.
Yea it is the Memorial Day weekend, and yea the cost of fuel does usually does start to go up around this time of year. But itsn't it funny when you compare this year to last year at the same time.
This year with Our new King in office the cost is easily explaned away because its Memorial day, kids are outta school and going on vacation with Mom and Dad. While just last year with George Bush in office the rising cost of fuel was layed directly at his feet. It was George Bush's fault to the end.
Amazing the difference we have today, and all because of Good Old King Obama--- Long Live The King!!!
