    90 degrees F here today.
    (Kingman, Arizona.

    60 degrees F Saturday.
    The jet stream is dropping.

Hoping for rain, need to dig some postholes for the carport and waiting for the ground to soften up a bit.

But . . . the really good news is, after the AIG bailout the execs went to an expensive San Diego hotel & spa for a $400,000. weekend.

Along those same lines, Phelps, who oversaw the Lehman Bros downfall went to a public gym on Monday I think it was.
Guy put his weights down, went over and punched Phelps knocking him down and out.

    Appropriate methinks.

Bet he stays out of public for a while....

Well Dave, this might just be the time for you to move to Texas instead of waiting. The weather HAS to be better then SD. AMD has a plant in Austin....

We're planning to move on in 1-3 years to somewhere at least a bit warmer for a longer summer period, regardless.

The negotiations for that plant have been dragging on for years, with a lot of new infrastructure being installed. The actual village, Malta, is not much more then an oversized crossroads right now - and my backyard borders on the township that it's in . Most of us locals thought that AMD wouldn't move here but the announcement was made yesterday with the contract to be signed in a few days. It will bring about 1200 to 1500 high paid people in and eventually more but all of the other area upgrades may bring in up to 5000 total. Then construction jobs - lots.

Unfortunately - my retirement savings is in that proverbial tank
