Cheers!
We had our own version of Kharma locally. Our city building and planning dept.s had to lay off 12 workers because their permit sales is down 1.6 million.
In 2004 we started a barn/shop rebuild and a addition to our house, the city's junior planner actually took pleasure is busting our chops and delaying permits. She was rude, smug and codescending. At the time I was furious that she even had a job, at my expense and tax paying dollars.
A couple of weeks ago she was laid off. Unfortunately, the senior Building inspector(who wasn't the nicest guy either) comitted suicide this week after losing his job.
It's funny when public servants forget who is paying their check, and then are surprised when they lose thier jobs. A little friendliness would have generated more permits and thus more money, which would have insured their jobs!
I am very sorry about Cliff the inspector committing suicide.
Sorry for the hijack Don!
I agree that Kharma has a way of catching up with you, and it's about time OJ got his.I hope this sends a message to all those other law breakers who watched him get off scott free, and see that luck and money will only get you so far in life!
