Yep, all of the comments above are pretty accurate. It has a huge membership, with some heavy hitters in car related businesses who are members, like Jesse James, and supposedly Jay Leno lurks (or maybe posts under a secret user name ) Things move fast there, post wise, and if you are into traditional hot rods and customs there is a wealth of information to be gotten.

I lurk, but don't post there, and find a lot of interesting threads to read. It is true that the majority of the members are focused on a very narrow area of hot rodding...........namely what they feel are cars built in the "traditional" way. Many don't like modern additions to a car, like electric fans and alternators, and some have no reservations about voicing their opinions when they feel the need.

But if you go on with a good attitude and don't try to change the tone of the forum, you will probably be ok. What ever you do, do not use the two words that will get you blasted, and those words are RAT ROD, The popcorn comes out when someone slips that term in.

A lot of our members are also on there, my own Son Dan is a member, and is treated very well. His being a member there is one reason I don't post on it.............he is only a member of that one forum, and it wouldn't be fair for me to encroach on his one little piece of privacy. I let him have that one all to himself.
