Mcfisted today

I got a rail job from Mcdonalds today, We got some fries that appeared to have come from the depths of the fryer from years gone by. After a 17 mile drive home we were surprized with the golden brown goodness of Mcdonalds famous fries. I am not a huge Mcdonalds fan, but we have kids and that draws us there, for happy meals. I admit I love their fries, but these are burnt, and loaded with grease. I can usually eat anything, but this was the end of my ability. Keep in mind this is 3 large fries dumped out here.

The manager seemed to not care when I called and asked if they were aware they gave these out. The Manager said they had a bad case and decided to sell them anyway. Just bring them back and we will refund your money he says, like its no big deal. Thats cool and all but my truck gets 9 miles to the gallon, and ive actually got better things to do then waste an hour trading in freaking french fries. So I decided to post this on every site I visit. So if your ever in Lafayette Indiana and feel hungry for fries, Do not stop at the Mcdonalds at Tippecanoe Mall, just tell Dan I did not send you! Man I feel better now, I'm still hungry, but I'm overweight anyway. What ever happened to good customer service?

The nickle was placed to show the crunchy greasy little critters actual size, and the big fries are, well the big fries that came to. I guess they were put there to make sure all the little fries did not get scared.

i used to work at jack int he box, and i would never serve such trash. course this was this one time this drunk guy got more then a bag of tacos :eek:

I don't think I have yet to go through any McDonalds, Wendys, etc drive through and get home with everything I ordered. So you call them and they say, "Oh, come on back and we'll give it to you!!" At $4 a gallon it isn't worth the trip.

I really hated it when we were a family and you bring food back for the four of you and invariably someone gets shorted on something. By the time you drive back and come home again your food is cold and every one else is done eating.:mad:


Just last Friday night I was working at the shop late and around 12:40 I decided to run to the Wendy's near the shop. They are open until 1 am, and I got into the drivethru line at 10 til 1. Lights were off, so I drove up to the first window. Guy with the headset on is ignoring me, so I went to the second window. Girl says " we are closed." I told her it is 10 to 1, and I want to see the manager. When he comes to the window I tell him it is 10 to 1 and he says " Look Bud, you don't pay my salary, so don't tell me what time I should close!!" That was a big mistake.

I asked for the franchisees phone number and he gave it to me . I immediately called them and left a message on their answering machine. Monday morning the District Manager called me and apologized and said "Al" is going to be retrained about what time they close and how to speak to a customer. If he hadn't been so smart I would have let it pass, but there was no excuse for his comment. BTW, I did inform him I DO pay his salary, along with every other Wendy's customer. Maybe now he believes that statement.:)

Just call the regional office ,mcpukers is franchise and has to live up to a standard or get the lease revoked,they will chew his arse over it and be way more traumatic than a simple beating.....:D plus he dont wanna lose the million dollar deposit,the manager is far from the head of that office ,there is usually a little sticker somewhere denoting the actuall owners who bellied up the mil for the lease..

What I love is when the screw up your order & you it catch b4 you leave & they ask you to pull around. Well after having had this done to me more times then I can count, I looked at the gal & said NO. I then put my truck in park, turned it off and told her this is a drive through window not a drive throught & wait window. Needles to say it took them almost 20 minutes before they finally got my order right. The line went out into the street before I got my food & I told them I will not hesitate to do it again. Yes I have gotten my order wrong since then but you should see the look on their faces when I walk back in & THROW my order at the & tell them to make it right. I guess it's time once again to protest & shut the drive through window down again :D :D :D ..joe


Oh by the way I love my fries well done and don't mind the small ones, BUT since they have changed thier oil to the new crappy healthy oil I refuse to eat anything that has been deep fried. Even the district manager has said they taste like crap..........

Hey, we were just talking about that good old government cheese, haven't had any since the lakota used to come trade it to me back in the early 80s.

Those fries look to be about the size of the ones they serve at a local car show. The vendor specializes in fries only, but the problem is that they use little potatoes. :eek: I have watched them load their potato slicer with nothing but little potaties, from which you get little fries. They need to get their potatoes from another vendor.:D

I only go to McD's when a person I know is working the window. Being a senior citizen her work ethic and quality control is tops.:D She doesn't let mistakes go to the customers. Any other time you have kids at the window and they usually don't give a crap whether your order is right.:mad:

If I order from McDonalds and nobody whizzed in my coke or haucked on my burger I feel I got my moneys worth.

if i order from mcdonalds eat it and dont die or have to to to the hospital i feel lucky.

Don I had the same thing happen at two different burger Kings. The last one had all the lights on as I drove up to the order machine, and when I asked if anyone was there, they turned all the lights out. I drove up to the window, and they refused to come and take my order! Really pissed me off. Next time I will call the franchise manager!

out here we have a chain called In-N-Out, they serve the best burgers around at a really good price. all owned by original family, no franchise, all supplied by commisary and the spread out of the chain is limited by the distance from their main facility to ensure freshness. they pay their employees better, good for what they're doing, and therefore I have yet to have a bad experience there. the ONLY complaint I have is their fries:
1. they use vegetable oil, which may be healthier but tastes like crap
2. they use real potatoes, so rather than having processed potatoe squished into shape and made in good size pieces they end up with a lot of those shorties in there as well. I always joke that if I were rich my eccentricity would be having an assistant pick through the fries so I only got long ones.

depending on the location I go to I will sometimes get my burgers there and then get my fries from McD.

We just got an In and Out burger here last year. Excellent burgers and prices, also great simple menu, no 40k choices to sit and read while people pile up behind you!:D

We don't eat McD's tucker, it's expensive rubbish, but I do enjoy (and collect) their toys. They're great, you wind them up and they "do things", not like die-cast toys......you have to push them along and make the noises yourself.
So, every Thursday, (which is go-to-town-day,) we go to McD's, get two diet Cokes and two each of the toys.....then go somewhere else to get our tucker-bags full.

stovens, the menu is very simple, but if you work with those ingredients they'll do just about anything you want. i.e. (things not on the menu but universal for In-N-Out)

animal style= this is grilled onions, yum
protein style= they wrap it in a huge leaf of lettuce rather than the bun
n by n= 5x5 or whatever number you want of patties, I have a coworker who tackles the 5x5. my mouth won't even open that big
shakes= they only list one size but will do larger

now I"m getting hungry for lunch!!!! there's one just down the street from my new office.....

It's funny about the fries. Some days they just hit the spot, and others, they need something to make them crisper! McDonalds seems to have that down, although I think if I went to the one that started this thread, I'd be very specific about "super size me"!

As a follow up to my Wendy's tale where I had to call the franchise to complain, the other night Dan and I were working late again so at about 11 pm I went to the same Wendy's. I was a little reluctant to do it because I was afraid they might retaliate by adding some special sauce to our food or something. But when I got to the first window it was a different guy, and when I got to the second window the girl was also a different one, and could not have been more pleasant. Very courteous and said " there you go Sir, your order is all there."

I also checked the bag before I left, and every sauce, dinnerware, and straw was in there too! Looks like the "retraining" did some good. Not sure what happened to the original crew, or if was just a different shift, but it seemed much better there this time around.

"Tucker" is food of any sort, and to "grab your tucker bag" (or nose bag,) is to get food (or a feed) from somewhere, be it from home or a shop.
E.g. to say: "I'm going home to put on the nose-bag" means that you're going home to have a meal, and to "grab a tucker bag" usually implies a take-away meal.
And "tucker at a barbie" is any food that has been barbequed.

Another one (just off the top of my head,) is "bones".....when we talk about "bones", we mean relations; brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins etc., as in: "He's bones of mine" means that we're related somehow.
That one got my wife's cousin (straight from the U.K.) totally confused. :confused:
When we intrduced him to people as "bones", he didn't have the slightest idea what we were talking about! :LOL:

Thanks johnboy for the heads up on the language barrier here. Cryky I get it, Now that you put it that way it makes perfect scence to me. I find it very interesting in the differences between countries, the way they act, dress, and talk. And today I vow to use the phrase, tucker bag , nose bag , and or tucker bag at the barbie, when the opportunity arises.

You'll be getting some strange looks then Joel, people will be thinking you're a bit of a dag. :HMMM: :confused:
(There ya go, there's another one.......literally a "dag" is a ball of dung tangled in the wool of a sheep's rear end, colloquially it's someone who's a bit out of the ordinary, a "fun" type person, and surprisingly, is not insulting, to describe someone as a dag is actually a compliment!) :LOL:

hay johnboy I went tuna fishing in austraila a few years ago and they eat this stuff called vegamite they put it on everything like you would ketchup or mayo that stuff is worst tasting stuff I ever tasted when I come to nz to go fishing Iam not going have to eat that stuff am I LOL ted
