I dunno, Man....back in Hi School and before it was politically correct to be "politically correct", the big fad in Hi School was to have a Tiki to ware around your neck on a thin leather thong.
This was about the time that the Beach boys were big and there was a glut of
"Gidgit" movies and, of course, surfing was really becoming big.
Most were hand carved and had jeweled eyes.
Never got to much static from anyone.
Only got into trouble once for having a Marlboro hard pack rolled up in my sleeve.
