I guess I should add my "hug" in here, too. I've always had exemplary service from Summit.

More hugs!! I just got off the phone with Summit. I made an ordering error based on MSD's recommendation. The replacement/correct part will be shipped today and is guaranteed tomorrow delivery. No charge for shipping but one downer for me, the price is almost 2X the wrong part, dammit!!Dave W

I'd venture to say 80% of the stuff I ordered for my build came from Summit and they were outstanding to deal with... even if it was me that ordered the wrong item... class company and best website going!
(no... I'm not an employee, nor have any family members that are, and am not affiliated in any way with Summit racing... I do however own a couple dozen of there hats!)Life is not a dress rehearsal… Live each day to it’s fullest!

The item I ordered ~3:00PM yesterday noted above arrived via UPS overnight delivery and here before 9:00AM this morning - <18 hours from order to delivery . The best part - no shipping charge tho I do need to ship the wrong piece back at my expense, which is to be expected since it was my error.Dave W

Their web site has to be one of the hottest around. You just key in a mfg's number and the part appears like magic. haha
Prices are not even worth haggling over. I barganed on some wheels and they matches the competitor price. Big deal saved $10 a wheel. End of the year rolls around and I get Summit "bucks". Not bad. Service is excellent and I usually get things in 3 days.

Summit took the hit for me!
I installed a Petronix Dist only to see the height was not going to work in my Model A. At the return counter, since the billet surfaces that touch as you guide the shaft in, were scratched (I didn't fire the engine), they could not sell as new. I could return for full credit in Summit bucks. Okay with me, I was needing a whooo punch more stuff anyway including the shorter MSD dist."Chance favors the prepared mind"

Bought a Summit cam. got and email 3 months later that lifters were suspect. They sent new ones. Had to pull cam to get lifters out. I wanted the $90 dollar credit to buy a brand name. they wanted to examine cam and lifters with no guarantee of time frame. They knew I buy alot from them but they wanted to drag out an issue that would cost them about 50 bucks. I told them if they did not give me full credit for cam I would not buy from them again. That was 2 years ago. I have built 3 cars since then and have not purchased 1 item from Summit. Thank you Summit.

havn't bought anything from them recently but, when the MSD 6 BTM in my Falcon went bad after a very short time after install. I called MSD and they wanted me to send in the box, and they would try to fix it, but it could have taken up to a month or some ridiculous amount of time.. I called Summit, and even tho it was out of there warranty grace period, they sent me a brand new box, and a return label for the old box, free of charge.. A++ service IMOYou don't know what you've got til it's gone

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
