I'm glad for you. When ours are too far away, so's we have to get on an airplane, or drive more than a few hundred miles to see them, we get real edgy
. We also have a very large extended family on our oldest son's side; on holidays, if everyone is in the mood, we'll have a real house full, at least twenty; have to put a lot of them up in hotels, but during the day - yikes
; seven to fourteen under twelve years, depending on who is around. When they all go home, we just veg for a few days, the cats come back out of hiding, the dogs go into hibernation, and everything sort of settles back into its groove. We still love every minute of it, no matter how noisy it gets.

This may be an interesting Christmas as most will be here the same day. We try to "schedule" them if for no other reason that we have time for each of them. But....whatever....we'll have fun. At least the furthest is only ~200 miles away but in New Jersey - which means the Garden State Parkway and Jersey Turnpike slowly moving parking lots
