Billetproof 2008
For those of you who missed Billetproof at Don Garlits Museum, here is a cool video of it. You will see some very famous people in it that some of you might recognize.

Well, I recognize Big Daddy, gastrick's coupe, and I think I've seen that scalloped '27 T in a magazine, but other than that.........................

Thanks Steve. Yep, that was nice to find on there. I was pretty surprised actually.
Bob, look again. The guy who played Weezies second Cousin twice removed on the Jeffersons was there. At least I THINK that was him.

The coolest part of that vid is that those of us who havent met the infamous "Don" can now put a face (and even a voice ) to the name! Nice job Don!!

Don I just watched it again with the sound turned up(didn't want to wake my wife last night!) Nice sentiments about kids working on cars! I never noticed the shift knob before today! Nice finishing touch. Stunning Balck and copper! Couldn't of said it better myself! You really hit it with those color combos and with that baseball glove interior!" Well, the narator used the right adjective when he described Don's roadster as "stunning". For those of you who have not seen this car in person, pictures and video don't do it justice. The copper glows in the sunlight and the black looks a foot deep - characteristics that just aren't easily captured on film.
Gastrick's deuce coupe is another amazingly nice piece and that Hemi is going to make it irresistable. What says "hotrod" more than a chopped deuce three-window with bomber seats, aluminum interior, and a Hemi? It's going to look like a refugee from the Bonneville salt flats...Jim

Ah, you are too kind Jim.........those bribery checks I am sending you are really paying off.
Next year I hope you and your Son bring your rods..........maybe the track T??
Don
on small cars yes. but fat fender cars are pretty much the same in size and weight as the donor car. i found s10 brakes work great on fat fender and pickups. a deuce will just need manual brakes...
Time for brakes
