    A Different Prespective

I just watched the original Vanishing Point for the second time. The first time was 1971 in the back seat of a 1970 GTX at the drive in with my soon to be first wife and a six pack.

What a difference .......sitting in the recliner eating a bowl of ice cream.

Mike, what a difference 38 years will make. I saw VP at the local drive-in too in a '69 Road Runner, I was a Mopar fanatic at the time. Shortly after the movie came out I got a Hemi Challanger (wouldn't I love to have that one back). A few years ago, my wife and I were visting the Floyd Garrett "Muscle Car Museum" in Sevierville, TN and he had one of the original white Challangers from the movie. It was just the way it was on the last day of filming, unwashed, dust and dirt all over it.
Where did you find a copy of the movie, is it available on DVD?

A friend of mine told me he had found a double DVD set with both the original and the TV remake at Walmart. I couldn't find them, but found both at the local video store.

Wow! Did they have fogging problems in the southwest too?? I thought that was only a problem at drive-in's in the northeast!

MikeP. They have had the dvd for a while, I bought my dvd copy (original) from ebay 2 years ago, $20.00 free shipping. Then I had taped the made for tv version when they aired it. I was about 10 when it first came out and remember watching it from the back of my parents 4 door, suicide rears at that, lincoln continental, black of coarse.
