No. If you have Windows Media Player or Media Center, it's just a matter of ripping the music you want and then burning them to the MP3 player. In most cases just a simple drag and dropping of a music file. At least tha's how I did it when I copied over 500 songs to my Sandisk player from my cd's.
There is software that you can buy (or download from the web for free) that will do it, like Roxio's Media Creator 10. But Windows Media Player will also handle it and it come included in Windows.Bob
