360 AMC in 1974, then a Ford 351 Windsor in 1975-76.
The best project show on TV is Stacey David's "Gearz".
Speed has it in a horendous time slot, but the builds kick ass, and Stacey is consistantly the best project show host on TV.
Maybe, but there is one thing that he does that bugs my bum.........When he takes the old parts off of the car/truck, he makes this BIG production of throwing them 10 feet across the floor into a big pile.....like they are so much crap. This, to me, slaps the average hotrodder right in the face....we can't afford to dispose of stuff like that. We carefully keep our old parts in case we can sell them, use them for something else etc.......To me, what he does says...."Screw you, I get my parts for free, so who cares".........Quote:

I'm glad to see that he got another show though. It's not often that you can find a good show and when you do, the network changes the show times almost weekly. Welcome back Stacey!
Poncho, you're right about trashing good pieces. It's like the home improvement shows where they smach all of the old cabinetry rather than using it in the garage or giving it to Habitat for Humanity.
+ 1 on that. I liked him on Trucks before Gearz. The other one that was good was Lou Santiago on Musclecar. But now he is gone and even though they replaced him with two hosts, they don't add up to him. Lately 2 Guys Garage has been real good, they have a darn good metal worker on there as a co-host now and have doen some interesting stuff and some real fabrication.Quote:

They have definitely found a popular niche that gives the down home drag racers their 15 minutes of fame.
What do you think of "Pass Time" where they have 3 folks trying to guess the times that cars will run?
Pat
I'm not so sure that the producers of Trucks didn't re-sign him as much as he didn't want to re-sign with the show. The reason I say that is, just look at Gearz... with Trucks he was pigeon-holed into doing on truck projects and now he's working on a bunch of different things... even put together that V8 barstool for one show (which was too cool). I think he's got WAY more creative control with this show, letting him do the projects that he wants to do.
