The stated gas milage for freeway is 35-36 (depending on 2 door or fourdoor models, cars are 11-13k new, (we get Topyotas at cost) so about 258 a month. It will drop our gas bill about 125-200 a month, so it makes sense in the long run, plus they are nice simple little commuter cars!
Get the Yaris. My dad just bought one (4 door, manual trans). He is getting over 40 mpg. It is actually pretty peppy for an economy car.
