If kids have a place to go for fun like having a bon fire, or other safe activities, I think they would rather do that then play video games, or set in front of a T.V.

Flames in a large form at nite . If its not nailed down it will burn

Reading that reminded me of a time when I was a teenager and some friends and a bunch of other people got together for a bonfire on a beach. A beach bonfire doesn't really work unless you've got a half keg. About midnight, I and a couple of other friends left because we had to work the next day. After we had left the fire started to weaken and a couple of people when about searching for wood, to freshen the fire. Next day I had heard where someone had torn up a row boat and used it for the fire. Owners were none too amused. Glad I left when I did.

Nice to see places where you can actually light a fire and not go to jail.

Don, people in my PA township nearly all still have burning barrels. Even the fire marshall who lives behing me. Some also do open burning, like trash, old wood, and brush. Some have bonfire fire parties during the year. Most of the new people who have moved here in the last 10 years are usually apalled by sight of a burning. Guess they think their homes are in jeopardy. They would have really been upset about 15 years ago when the KKK used to burn their crosses on a nearby farm.
