 nope , but im and hour and a half from jackson and the same from memphis..

 I got a great job offer in Alcoa, and I was hoping to find someone in that area who could help me with info. Ya I lived in Memphis for over 20 years, but I'm up north now, wanting to go home."oohh...thats gonna leave a mark!"

 JimmyJeep,There are a few guys on the forum from that area.HemiTCoupe is headed that way and I am sure he has made a few contacts there.
 
 I hail from Morristown (35 mi.east),like you I wanna go home LOL,but the Boss likes Texas better.

 Yep! we're headed that way, the inlaws live in Maryville, which is next to Alcoa, I can't tell you much. I do know that a bunch of people on this site live around there. I'm going to busy visiting them after we get seatled in. I won't know anyone there, other than inlaws  
 
 I'll have 3 things to do after we get moved in, 1-up date house to wifes spec's, 2- work on both T's, 3- my R/C hobbies.

 Well I lived I'm Memphis for over 20 years, but have not seen that part of the state ,
 I just wanted to know which town between Alcoa and Knoxville would be the better place to look for a house to rent ."oohh...thats gonna leave a mark!"

 I would say that will depend on where you are going to work. On the first of May, yes 2 weeks from today. I-40 the main highway thru Knoxville will be closed for 18 months to build new bridges. Alcoa is kinda west and south of Knoxville.Last edited by RPM; 04-10-2008 at 10:05 AM.

 Maryville is south of Alcoa. The 2 cites touch and you really can't tell when you go from one to the other. You might look for housing in Greenback. It is down 411 south of Maryville.
