Odd Time to purchase

Even at 61, I still love to drive. Don't hate flying, but do prefer driving. We travel to Florida from PA 2 or 3 times a year. Have only flown once in the past 15 years. I have a business meeting in Seattle this summer, even with the gas prices, the wife and I are thinking about driving our Mountaineer out for the meeting and then spending a couple of weeks sightseeing before heading home. You are right about seeing the USA, 1986 we drove 6,000 miles in 27 days taken in the sights of this great Country. I would like to drive again in a street rod just take it slow and enjoy the ride. At 61 I co-pilot most of the time, I have to keep a close eye on the driver, she say's she doesn't know how she made it all of the years with out me helping her drive, I say I know.:LOL: :LOL:

Richard, about 10 years ago my wife and I went to Vegas along with my daughter and my wife's parents. We rented an Explorer in Vegas and drove up to Zion and then to Bryce Canyon and then down to the Grand Canyon before returning to Vegas. WOW, what a trip.:D :D

My wife let me drive the straight roads, but for the mountain roads she insisted on driving. She knew I'd be driving and gawking :eek:, and she wasn't interested in dying.:LOL: :LOL:

The trip we took 1986 was in a new conversion van, we thought about renting but for the time we would have it and the miles we decided to buy a new one. Those were good times working making good money and gas wasn’t so bad. We took our 14-year-old daughter along now she is 36. At 14she made the trip miserable for us, didn’t want to see what we wanted, didn’t want to eat where we wanted, and on and on. We missed the Grand Canyon; we decided to go in a different direction to see my sister living in New Mexico. Hope to see it someday. Now it’s different my 36 Daughter wants to spend time with me going out for coffee, and just having good conversation. I love her with all my heart but those were some tuff years. Where was the Super Nanny? :HMMM:

My wife thinks she can drive better then me, so I just let her think that until I catch her running up on a car at full speed, then she says I see the car. We were on a two way street an older guy was riding a bicycle it was at night and he could hardly keep the bike on the edge of the road. I told my wife watch the guy on the bike; she said he has no business on the road at night as he trying his best to keep her from running him off the road. I said just because you don’t think he should be on the road at night doesn’t mean that you can kill him. Then she admitted she can’t see at night and I’m ridding with her which one of us is crazy. :LOL: :LOL:

Everyone that grew up in this Country should be able to take a trip to see the beauty.
