Like it, especially if she lets ya do it down (opposed to 'up') like the one breeder posted!! That's just right

Neat cars, had a 61 for a few years. They wake up quite a bit with more carburator than stock and really like tri-power. Road nice and sure LOOKED like it ought to go around corners :o
They weigh well oner 4000 pounds if I rememeber correctly and takes a bit of steam to get them moving, but overall nice car.
well ... she wants a carson top put on it (I'm not sure about just yet? ), and lowered, called the guy a few hours ago and we got it !
just got to go pick it up. only one left on her list is a 1969 SS El-caminOoooooooO . Now I need a 49/51 Merc ...;)
Its growing on me I guess ... I'm not really anI Ford or Chevy any more.
I just like stuff on wheels .... :D now'an days.....
The one breeder posted is what we'd like it to look like :)
I've seen that car before ... somewhere .
I'll tell the story I got on this car when I get more time, and I'll try and remember to take some pix when we go pick it up.

I like all of the Birds up to '66. Beautiful cars!
Bullet 'Birds ('61-3) are cool, and look great lowered. Make the woman happy Tommy..............
I love the 61-63 bulletbirds, of course I'm kind of partial, as I own a 61 hardtop. They are big cars with big engines, but they will get up and move. And when they do get up to speed, they ride like a dream. Here's a few pics of my favorites.
congrats on the bird, im sure it'll turn out awesome, i think there cool looking. i know what you mean, i take alot of flak from my friends because i like some fords, amc's, and even mopars! its like i say, these days you cant be picky i just like seeing old cars on the road period!!!Quote:

been looking at a cUdA also !!!! YA! !!!!!! **) :whacked: :D
Good for you guys! Nice classic car. It reminds me of the old lincoln continentals in the front. I wish my wife went for the domestic classics, and not the French version of a volkswagen bug!
Congrats Tree, for you and your lady. Whadya think of this one?

ya that 2 seater look -don't know what it’s called either, the convertibles are going for 6times what we gave for this one ,and this is what she wanted before she seen them.
Pat: pretty cool, I'll show her, she printed the other one Breeder posted  .
I wonder how much work is involved with making it a hard top like that???? !!!!But !!! if we run a carson top ... Oh ! ..... the problems with an over active imagination that has access to tools ....
