Yeah, Texas has a rough road to hold, but everybody is gonna' have to ball to beat 'em. Memphis has no chance. They came from a weak conference and have not been challenged enough.
Good Luck to everybody!
Kitz
Memphis will have problem with Oregon and with Pittsburgh if they get past Oregon. Conference USA is a weak conference and IMHO Memphis is over rated.Quote:

Kansas!!! Go Jayhawks!!!
no surprises yet.
Ding dong the witch is dead. DUKE, very highly overrated and dirty, has been eliminated. :D :D :D
The second round was truely march madness. My Memphis guys didn't look too darn impressive against Mississippi St.
North Carolina has no equals in this tournament.
I don't have any favorities in it this year and normally I would say "anybody but Duke". But now that Duke has fallen to the WVA, I don't have a clear hater. I really don't want to see UNC take it, but I think they have a fair chance. Kansas and UCLA could be in for the long haul, but I think if Memphis is still around Michagan, it will go down to Stanford. Still hard to pick a final victor.

NC made my Razorbacks look bad. Go Jayhawks!! It would be great to see the hawks top the tar heals in the final game. Some here (like my wife) still hold a grudge with Roy for leaving KU....Quote:

How about those Memphis Tigers!!!!
50 to 20 at the half over Michigan State!!!!
go jayhawks :D
Unless Davidson pulls that lucky rabit out of the hat, it will be Memphis and The HAWKS. The way both teams are playing. Hawks manhandle Nova. And Steven Curry (
Curry now has 103 points over three games in this tournament, a 34.3 average. Some of the greatest scorers in tournament history – Jerry West (30.6 points per tourney game for his career), Oscar Robertson (32.4) and Bill Bradley (33.7) – are being one-upped by Dell Curry’s skinny kid. )
Todays posting:
West Regional
3 Xavier
1 UCLA
East Regional
3 Louisville
1 UNC

The first half of the game was freakin' magical. If they can do that a couple more times.....they have a chance against North Carolina.
My favorite part was when Joey Dorsey stole the ball and did the solo fast break. Has anybody ever seen a big man (6' 9" 265 lbs) take it end to end and launch from the free throw line?

Gardner is WSW of Olathe, South of DeSoto and about 25 miles ESE of Lawrence. Tonganoxie is on K7 north of I70, and if you head south on K7 to KS56, then West on K56 it goes right through the heart of Gardner on the way to Baldwin. I am outside the city limits in the County, north of Gardner a few, and 22 miles from the heart of the KU campus.Quote:

Thanks. And for the record I'm not a Hawk Fan. But in this case I will be pulling for them.

How about those Memphis Tigers!!!!
They led the whole game!!!!! and shot 83% from the line in the process!!!!
Memphis, UCLA, NC and Kansas. Wish the matchups were reversed - it would have been really interesting to see Kansas meet NC in the championship game, assuming they both won, with Roy going up against Bill Self, who took the Kansas job when Roy left for home turf.
Agree Memphis is strong - they were on fire.
Just pretend that next Saturday is the final round.
So, Who is picking who for the last two rounds?
I see Memphis getting past UCLA by a point or two, but am concerned about what North Carolina might do to the Tigers.
Both games should be tight well fought affairs and since UCLA has everyone healthy Memphis will be hard pressed to win. Kansas has to stop Hansborough and I think they can do it.
I read in the paper that the Vegas odds are for Memphis by 1 point. Should be a good game.Quote:

Memphis was tested once in the regular season by Tennessee and they lost. They have played much better in the tournament, but a 1 point spread just doesn't impress me. I just hope that the referees don't determine the outcome.
Rock Chalk, old coach vs new coach. It will be an interesting game. Hope that it is close.
:toocool:
Well what do you know.....darn near every "expert" is now picking Memphis over UCLA.
They beat two teams and the "experts" change their opinions by 180* .....from first No 1 to go out to potential national champs.
Memphis suspended the back up point guard, Andre Allen (14 minutes per game in the tournament)....he didn't make the trip to San Antonio.
I hope this isn't the start of a meltdown.
How about those Memphis Tigers!!!!
They just beat UCLA by 15!!!!!!
GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've got to give Memphis credit, they played a good game and UCLA couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.
Kansas is kicking some SERIOUS ass right now. ....about as ugly as the Memphis - Michigan State first half.
Looks like Memphis won't have to worry about North Carolina.
Edit: Damn! NC is making a run.
Kansas and Memphis in the Final, any predictions?
It should be a really good game it both teams show up ready to play. I say Memphis by 10 :)Quote:
