So very sorry to hear of your loss Steve. Most families, including mine, are like that, we only see each other at weddings and funerals. Then after one of those events we all make promises that we will see each other more often, but that never seems to happen.

Your Uncle is going to have a rough time going it without her. 50 years is a very long time and he is going to be lost for a while. Try to spend some time with him and after an appropriate amount of time have him over for dinners and stuff like that. We are all getting older, and we never know when it will be our turn to need our families there. I've seen so many cases where one mate dies and the other mate just gives up and passes shortly after that.
