ENH??? latin is not taught in schools or used in churchs anymore.
I get "NO LIE carborundum" whatever carbordm means beside what they bitch about every VA visit. There IS and has been a plan/movement toward moving the whole VA system into the private sector and abolishing it. Do not believe for a minute that it will be better Just more over loaded w even more Vets getting lost in the cracks or loopholes to not serve them like the the SSD/SSI system does. (don"t even get me started on them)

I don't believe the problem is with the VA, but rather the problem originates with the elected officials who control the funding.

It's just like anything and everything the government is involved with... The #1 priority for the majority of those in the government these days is looking out for themselves. Second on their list would be catering to the biggest campaign contributor on their list.... With the average voter turnout being as low as it is, seems we're getting exactly what we deserve!!!!! Don't blame the politicians, blame the people who put them there and the non-voters who allow them to remain....

The biggest change I've seen in our government in my lifetime is that these days those who hold a public office consider themselves to be "LEADERS''.... what the constitution had in mind is that they be "REPRESENTATIVES".

I hate getting into politics, but when you mention the ones we vote or don't vote for... In "MY" opinion this time around (again), we don't have anyone running WORTH voting for! I don't want to ruffle any feathers so I will stop there, but if we had decent choices... Its all about power and status, I don't believe any of them care WHAT they are running for anymore, just that they get the title. There is a problem when the person we elect to run our country makes MILLIONS less than some of the lowest paid sports figures... THATS whats happened to our country. And as far as the "remains" of the VETS, My guess would be that those "in charge" never served!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, by the way, I am an honorably discharged vet as well. God help us...

I'm not talking electing a president, though I do wholeheartedly agree with your evaluation of the candidates I'm talking about the "first line" politicians, local and state representatives, along with our state senators and representatives..... If we have local, state, and Congressional representation that remember this is supposed to be a government of the people, then whichever clown becomes president this time around won't be able to act like the bully of the block and will have to work with the congress......

Well said Dave. Representative. Whatever happened to public opinion? What a crime we have with leaders who follow their own agenda representing themselves and not the people they serve. I believe the term public servant has taken on the new meaning of public persecutor!

Without turning this post into a trilogy and posting multiple video links....
Let me lay it out here on the table....

We have a agenda as a country .........
We are headed down a path on purpose......
All outcomes are the result of that agenda.......

    We can elect paris hilton as president and nothing will change......everything is interwoven and counterdependent{meaning one little thing in the sidelines,hinges on huge things in the lime light}
Similarly the huge lime light projects also depend on the little sideline projects.
Basically its like a vast support structure that each piece depends on the other for support ,kick one little piece out and the whole thing collapses.

Look at the country as one big business ,we have investors and we have the ceo {president}The ceo ,can not just start making decisions ,without the approval of the investors........We may think the ceo is in charge ,but like a business ,he is not in charge ,he is mearly a figurehead,we may think he can do what he wants ,but he has to have approval of the investors/board members...sure you choose not to pay employees ,they leave, sure you can not listen to the investors/board members....you will get fired....

Prime example here.......Missourri thought it would be a great American state and let the people make thier own choice on the seatbelt law ...its free country and Missourri will not demand that you wear a seatbelt.......thats perfectly legal and a states choice...so they did not pass the seatbelt law when the rest of the states did..........what was the result.......the feds said ,fine you can do that ,now what we can do is cut federal highway funds ,untill the roads are unpassable and the bridges fall down....untill you pass the seatbelt law,no federal funds for your state...........
See , we can elect anyone we want and they are still bound by the "agenda", rules that dictate how things will be run,......I am sure that there is no law that sayes if a state does not do as its told ,pull federal funding untill they comply...?
So from this example we can see that a totally unrelated thing such as highway funding can be used to make a state pass almost any law it wishes ,this is only one example of how we are constanly manipulated into compliance thru strong arm tactics ,....very much like the way old gangsters did business.
    To end off this saga...
I hope "they" ...not going to define they ,for fear of retribution, not the voters ,elect Hilary ,then the cat will be outa the bag so to speak, because if this country operates they way we think it does ...things should drastically change ....She is a drastic change from the normal canidates, therefore her ideas and policy should be drastically different.....We will get a good look a the genie in the bottle when this happens....
Unfortunatly we are under a massive unannounced Inquisition as we speak, to extract all the wisdom and common sence from the people.......its working quite well too.....case in point .
I was at a 3 way light on the main road ,I came to a stop at the red light headed down the road,a lady that was on the right, the side of the 3 way that exits a parking lot, waiting to exit the parking lot that this light is for.....during her red light ,she decided to get out of the car and dig in the passenger floorboard....her light turned green { nobody behind her} and she started to feel funny about not going on green{digging in her car}.....soo she waves the people waiting at the red light to go ahead and go ,....these morons around me actually went thru the red light because a person that could not even understand she was in a intersection on the road and was suppose to be driving waved them on...the moron behind me actually stater honking his horn, because I would not obey the lady digging in her car ,instead of driving, that waved us thru the red light....
I would of hated to see what happened if she told them all to jump off a bridge...
I sat there in astonishment as to what I just witnessed.......I do not care what the person at the otherside of a intersection says ,I am not stupid enuff to drive thru a red light ,because some fool waved me on.
This is just a example of the knowledge extraction Inquisition thats underway, pretty soon we will all just mill around like sheep waiting for the lady on the side of the road to wave us in a direction.
    Case #2
The lady next door ,just got into a massive accident ,because the guy coming the other way smiled at her{no lie} ...she thought that meant it was ok to pull in front of him{her aCTUALL WORDS} ..after all he smiled ,that must have meant he wanted to let me pull out.....
    Case #3
The house across the street was torn down and they had to do liquefaction compacting to the soil{lots of heavy equipment},the dispatcher called the heavy equiptment driver at 4 a.m. ,so he thought it was time to go then ,he headed to the equipment yard and proceeded to unload the eqipment at 5.05 a.m. in a residential area, when asked at 5.20 a.m to shut the _____ thing off ,he replied no ,I will be done and gone soon, well after a call to the equipment place ,he was gone as in gone from the company...he actually got beligerant with my parents out in the street at 5.20 a.m. and said he will shut the thing off when he feels like it.........when the contractor showed up at 7.00 a.m. ........I went over and proceeded to tell him ,there was a guy here at 5 a.m. bulldozing down all of your leads in the area this mourning{he was hoping to generate more business from this project}....

Holy saga batman........I better stop ranting and hit submit reply....

Its time to cut down the tall grass......and get a good look at the ground again........The media has cluttered the issues by having us focus on the symptoms ,rather than the root of the problem.....kinda like a doctor giving you pain pills for railroad spike in yer leg ,instead of removing the spike!!!!!

Well the time to start pulling the spike out of Americas leg is now!!!!!!
The time for political correctness is over, people {including me}are tired of providing more and more resources for the symtoms ,when the root cause goes ignored.......It time to rip the root outa the ground and get it in the light ,soo we can get a good look at it..............
We are constantly presented with the frivilous and mundane ,such as paris hiltons Derelict actions ,while just off to the side of the camera ,right out of view ,America and our rights are vanishing into thin air.........

If I have to look odd or be the brunt of a few jokes or thought of as out there ,soo be it,the alternative is something I just cant live with personally.
Its gunna take longer than u thought and its gunna cost more too(plan ahead!)

    Shawn
It is the same here. Some moron some time ago sold his house across the street, and the city made that side of the street buisness/residential dual zoned. Now a guy who nobody knows and his partner a M.D. with an attitude own the building/house and rent out different rooms as offices. Their landscapers come by at 7 a.m. and light up the weed wackers, and the leaf blowers. They were told to be done before 8a.m. when all of the office professionals come in. I work swing shift until midnight. I get to sleep around 1 a.m. So when some idiot lights up his loud landscaping equipment at 7 a.m., to blow leaves across the street into everyone elses yard, I get kinda pissed! I went over there and attempted to talk to the landscapers, however they did not understand English very well. So I attempted to contact the owner with no response.
I figure I might invest in a cheap old leaf blower, with no muffler and go over to her house early in the morning or maybe when I get off work, and blow some leaves for free into her lawn, maybe then she'll get the idea!
I also have a friend who was driving and needed to make a left turn into a parking lot. Traffic was stopped both ways, and the guy in the on comming lane waves her to turn, she does and gets nailed by the guy in the next lane. Her fault. People are lemmings some times. Sorta like drivers on a two lane highway. If the driver in the slow lane slows down, and the driver in the fast lane is in lala land or on his cell phone, he won't pass and pull over to let traffic behind get by at posted speeds, he'll just shadow the car in the slow lane and talk away on the phone. This happens everyday to me on the way to work. Inevitably, once the road opens up to three lanes 12 of us are reaching road rage levels, as we pass supper fast, and act like idiots ourselves. Usually the driver is oblivious and speeds up, making everyone more pissed off!
As my friend Mike says "what are you gonna do?"
" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.
