www.mpeg-search.com is free, and somehow it's considered legal, song titles are limated tho. I'v used Limewire, but not recently. I get music from friends also, I just got
over 25 GB of music from a friend, I also borrow CD's and stuff. If theres somthing I want bad enough, I will buy music. theres a site that sells basic unprotected Mp3's for 9.99 per month for 30 downloads. I have a konaki Mp4 player, which is a POS but it works like a flash drive, so I can always recover my music, or get more from other ppl.. I have a Samsung K3 on order, which is a MTP player, meaning I can recover music off of it from my computer only and it will work with subscription music services ( a rip off I would never use )You don't know what you've got til it's gone

Over the years I have acquired a lot of CD's (tapes, etc) and have recently been dumping them down to my MP3 player. I used to use my CD's in my car's cd changer, but recently I bought a new car stereo that has an IPod connection, an MP3/4 connection and a USB jack. You can copy music from a computer directly to a flash drive, but it only plays in the recorded order, no shuffling.
There is a website that I have used to buy custom cd's. Not real cheap, but you can pick and choose what songs you want on a cd. They burn the cd and send it to you. 15 songs on a CD, $16.95. MyMusicMaker.com - Your Custom CD Source.
They don't have everything, but they got alot.Bob

I buy from BMG Music - Tumbleweed Connection and Madman Across the Water were the last CDs. Ther're about $7 each for an average cost when you get 3. I still like having the whole 'album'.
I also use LimeWire from time to time.
But its been taking along time to connect lately. There is no limit to what a man can do . . . if he doesn't mind who gets the credit. (Ronald Reagan)

I saw last night on fb about John. The world sure lost a great one. I'm going to miss his humor, advice, and perspective from another portion of the world. Rest in Peace Johnboy.
