i've seen these these pumps go in many cars,not just the chevy's,one of the
"helpfull" hints the g.m. techs came up with was never run the tank on empty
especialy in hot weather,the fuel has a tendency to boil and cavitate the pump,since the pump relies on fuel to keep it cool,that accounts for premature pump failure!
now i can't say if this is true,however i know changing the pump is a pain
last time i did it i used a hoist & a g.m. fuel line tool kit!
