I'm getting titanium hardware for FREE, well kinda

I may be off line for a few days depending on how everything goes tomorrow. Going to get that "pain in the neck" taken care of. NOOOOOOO, I'm not getting rid of the wife, she's one pain I love & I'll keep for ever, love ya honey.
See I'm even sucking up to her on line just in case she reads this

I've been dealing w/this for the last 2yrs & it's gotten to the point that I'm losing the feeling in my right arm for a good part of the day & off & on in the left. I decided to take care of it when the doc used the words "Life Threating" when telling me how bad it really is, this made me sit up &&& listen.

Anyway, THIS is what they'll be using which is a plate made from titanium alloy.. Heck the wife can get more for me when she scraps me out.
And THIS is basicly what they are going to do to me && the doc said I should be home later that day. So hopefully everything will go good & I'll be back causing trouble real soon.....later....joe

So far, my lower mostly right side stays numb all the time, so I don't feel the pain. But, it does give me a problem down through the left hip, until I get warmed up. I guess I need a ring job soon myself.

    hope it helps you.
I've got so many kinks the doc just shakes her head .
they told me to have fun now because when I'm 50, I'll really be hurting.

the sciatic nerve in the SI joint is what really gets me , right now . I'll just have to sit down for a while . The rest i can work thru w/a little mEdEkatiON help .

TL, I've already have 3 fused in my neck & if it wasn't for the amount of pain I am in & what the doc said, I still wouldn't be getting it done.

I know all about the sciatic nerve crap. Both of mine takes turns dealing the pain out to me. The doc show me that x-ray also, in the 2 disc just above the tail bone, well let's just say I might as well have nothing there since that just about what it look like. Talk about a "Pain in the ass", I have to wait 14-16 weeks before the doc will even touch that part of my back && I can hardly wait.

My cocktail of drugs to kill my pain consists of, 1-500mg of Vicodin, 1-Darvocet, 1-750mg Methocarbamol & 2-100mg Gabapentin . If I would take just more Vicoden I get one hellva hang over which I hate The darvocet by themselve might as well be M&M's. But I have found if I take these drugs together, I do get hammered, I can function fairly well(I won't drive) && the pain is GONE!!!

    PAIN BAD ........
    THESE DRUGS GOOD ....later....joe

Talk about a "Pain in the ass", LOL

    Ya I can function ... " I'm not CriSP! " but I can function .
tried not taking anything, just doing the stretches and exercises ... the wife said it was like living with a bear , a very angry loud bear she said I get more accomplished on my meds anyway

last count they wanted to fuse 3 spots in my lower back and 2 in my neck ,that are real bad ... someday I'll have to do it ... but right now ... I'm making it . Hoping for them to perfect "to 100% odds " that fake disk by the time it rolls around to that.

got away from most of the hard stuff ,my stomach couldn't handle it anymore
now its 100mg Celebrex,100mg ultram ,30mg flexeril ,800mg skelaxin, 15mg zanaflex all are easy on my stomach w/= don't cut the pain as good. still take Percocet on the bad days and double the flexeril if I need to do something . it's the worst if I stay still too long ( like sleep for 8 hours ) or do more then I know I should.

Its given me a new understanding of leverage ...

Toomany........Goodluck with your surgery. Looks like it will be over before you get this message. I have a lot of the same problem with the neck, numbness and pain in the shoulders, arms and hands. Wanted the doc to do the plate thing, but he says I should wait until it is really bad before taking a chance with it. Easy for him to say...he isn't enjoying the pain i'm getting. Then, I read all the other posts, and I think I should stop complaining. Looks like more than a few of you are suffering much more than I.

It's amazing what they can do with deck screws these days! Seriously, I hope everything goes well and you better. Surgical technology is amazing. Not too long ago they didn't have hi-tech remedies for alot of ailments. Good luck!

Well I got there at 8am(why they want you there 2hrs early is beyond me) & they got me ready for surgery. Surgery was to happen at 10:30 & it came and went. At about 11:00 the doc came in & explained to me that another patient(his turn to be on call) came in w/two aneurysms && had to have emergancy surgery. He asked me if I could hang around for a couple of hours & hopefully he could operate then. That time came & went, so I told the nurse that if it's ok w/the doc that I would come back in the next couple of days & he could work on me then. The doctor agreed, so Denise picked me up & we headed to Tuckers Steak House to have lunch mmmmmmmm steak .

Yea i could of been upset because of all of this, hell this was the 5th time I had rescheduled this surgery, but considering what was going on how could I be mad. Soooo come this Thursday(I hope) at 5:30am I'll be at the hospital getting ready to go under the knife.

Thanks for all the kind words && hopefuly it'll be done soon......joe

    Joe,

Didn't think you were.....I figured you were smart enough to realize that the doctor had more than enough on his plate for the day, no reason to stretch him thin..........yeah, that's it, or at least that is the story I expect you to stick to
