Tivo is the best damn thing that has happen to NASCAR. I can turn it on when it starts, skip all the commercials and bullshit, still get a nap in between lap 25 and lap 160, and catch the last 15 laps.

I used to watch it religiously, now I watch maybe 5 or 10 races each year. If the drags are on, NASCAR loses. And yeah it was better back in the early 60's and 70's, but for the most part it was not shown nationally on TV cause most networks didn't have an interest or didn't think any one north of NC had any interest.

I was lucky to meet Dale twice when he used to do GM promo's in York PA each year. He had a lot of fans up here, on Sundays, nearly 1 out of every 3 houses in my area were flying the number 3 flags in their front yards. Hardly see any flags these days. Not saying NASCAR isn't still popular, just doesn't seem as popular as when Senior was running.
