    A couple more points for you. Manufacturing tolerances in moly of -10% are allowed, so the wall could be 0.075" and still be legal. This "fudge factor" is applicable only to moly. Mild steel must be minimum 0.118" with no allowance for undersize. Just so you know. When you do get the tubing, de-burr all ends and check the wall before you start bending.

    If you decide to expand the bar into a cage later, you can continue with the 1 3/4" material or drop down to 1 5/8" for the rest of the cage.
