I have a specific purpose in mind for that time frame. The additional info in the individual posts is interesting as well, just not part of the project I'm collecting data for.

    Bob,

Out of pure curiousity, once you're finished collecting the data, would you be willing to share the results as it relates to your previously mentioned theory? I have my own thoughts regarding the data shown in the polls and am just curious if my theory is even remotely close to yours.

    Thanks,

In time, I don't want to potentially skew the results. I'd be happy to hear what you get from it, might be another view I didn't consider.

Our first "small" cell phone was in about '95; we had a bag phone in '88 or '89, carried it in the car all the time as we spent a lot of time traveling on the highways, either alone or together, and felt it was a useful emergency device. Got our first CD player in '97, DVD in '02. Digital camera came along in about '03 or '04.

Did you begin using a cell phone between 1990-2000? 1998 I think

Did you begin using a digital camera 1990-2000? around the same time as above
Did you begin using a CD player 1990-2000?1993 I think

Did you begin using a DVD player 1990-2000?Possibly after 2000, we were late to the game for this one, only when extended version DVD's become popular at the Video rental store did we make the switch, also tough to do with 1989 RCA

Begin using two or more of the above 1990-2000? Yes

How about stopped renting videos and joined Netflix option? Last year!

Saw this article on MSN.com today, and it reminded me of this recent poll. So I thought I would post the link to the article on tech toys and their changes over the lst 20 years. Hope you can read it.
