    ford 4.6 motor questions ?!?

     



    wasnt there a forum about a tri power for the ford 4.6 motor?

    I.M.O.,the 4.6 will be the next 5.0 engine in the next 5-10 years.
    The big problem now seems to be the price of after-market parts.

    You may be correct, I sure like the engine. Strong, make good power, and if you're into compressed air they REALLY respond. All that being said, the thing that is a serious limiting factor is the size of this lump. Dimensionally they're nearly as big as a 426 hemi. The cost will probably follow much like the SBFs did. Used to be they were a lot more expensive to build than the logical comparative, the SBC. Over time, and as their numbers increased they became comparatively more competitive price wise. The new paradigm would be to compare the cost of LSx stuff to the mod motor for more of an apples to apples deal.
