    I feel for you.

after about a year of looking and driving the pinto with one wheel welded up i finally have found a replacement rear for it .. i dont know what it is out of but it is an early version 8 inch .. it is actually an inch narrower than the stock pinto rear ,, i dont know how i am going to fix the leaf spring mounts as i dont have a hot wrench anymore .. perhaps i can get mine back from the fellow i sold everything to .. i hope to be able to re use the stock pinto backing plates on the 8 inch rear and just re drill the 5 lug axles to 4 lugs .. i`ve done it before the other way around ,, drilled pinto front rotors to 5 lugs .. i quickly found that getting up off the cold concrete floor is much harder than it used to be and car parts are much heavier than they once were .. this task would have taken me not more than half a day 20 years ago but this time around i hope to be done by may 1st .. i missed an opportunity to get a 5 speed several weeks ago by not having a truck to go pick it up .. it came with an engine i did not want but the seller would not separate them .there is a junkyard in tennessee that is going out of business and they are selling a pile of complete 8 and 9 inch ford rears for 75 $ a pop .. i only bought the 8 inch while i was there but i plan on going back for a couple of 9 inchers as soon as i can find a buddy with a truck .. the 8 inch fit in the back of my corolla but i dont think a 9 will ..

iv`e used up all my sick days at work .. can i call in dead ?
