I flew about 3000 miles to California to pay homage to a friend of mine that passed away two years ago. While I was there I decided to surprised my sister and brother-in-law. My friends wife was kind enough to drive me three hours north of her to surprise them. My brother-in-law asked for a hug for Christmas, so I was there to give him his gift. I heard later that my sister cried, I guess that surprise must’ve meant a lot to her.
The weather has been all over the place, from the mid 30’s to the 70’s. The picture is the view from my sister’s house

not a bad looking bead for the first time i have welded in nearly ten years .. i had been concerned about how i was going to remove the spring seats since i did not have a cutting torch then it occurred to me i have a nice side grinder .. i just ground off the old weld as best i could then a couple of whacks with a BFH and off they came . i checked and triple checked my pinion angle and set it to the same 3 degrees down that the stock rear had but when i put everything together the rear is about 8 degrees down .. it does not look real bad .. after a test drive if i have any issues i can bring it back up with a few tapered shims i am going to redrill a few holes and reuse the stock pinto rear brakes .. wont be too difficult .. i dont yet know what i`m going to do about changing from 5 to 4 lugs .. i have done it the other way around many years ago but i guess i did not keep my drill jig set up .. as stated in my last post some mustang 2 axles would fix that but oh well ..

No rest for the wicked. Been beating on the truck, disc brakes are on and I cut the firewall out of the donor truck to use in mine and salvaged what sheet metal in parts could be save from the donor front cowl section…

    Joe,
It's no big deal, but curious why you don't post on your build thread - Large Marge Transformation Begins

Mainly because it has to deal with purple monkey customs and Richard. As I said before when it’s finally done everything that man has touched will be removed from my vehicle, including the paint. I don’t even want his name associated with me. And I really don’t plan on posting many pictures because I am bad for not taking pictures. The only reason those were taken is because I had my phone in my pocket, it was the end of the day and I thought what the heck.
The other reason I don’t take pictures is I never know where I’m going to be the following week. Since the middle of January I have logged over 10,000 miles in the air and I’m not done yet. I may end up out on the West Coast for an extended period of time helping a friend repair her house and move. So I don’t even know the next time I’ll be working on it. And it is kind of random, lol

Yeah, that makes sense about the guy & the shop - what a mess! Random is good! Thanks for posting the pictures that you do post, and for keeping us in the loop on what's happening with Marge.

A helipad at a Church !! .. is this how God shows Up ? .. i ride my bicycle about 25 miles a week and since it has gotten so crowded on the high way lately i drive several miles away and ride in parks or on walking paths such as is at this church in southern Tenn. .. i pedal around for an hour or so which gets me about 5 miles of riding in .. i have the pinto back on the road again but it has some issues .. i think i mentioned in my last post that i had welded on the spring perches at the wrong angle .. i have crutched it up with angle shims for the moment with every intention of cutting the perches back loose and correcting the angle someday but someone relieved me of my welder recently .. i know exactly who took it and have hopes of getting it back someday ..i also drilled my own 4 lug bolt pattern in the 5 lug axles and seem to have gotten one off center just a tiny bit .. i have a high speed wobble .. i may or may not worry about that .. i dont drive the car very much .. went to a car show nearby today and this little pinto was there .. a 17 thousand mile all original jewel ..
