I have a girlfriend whos niece was given a car when she turned 16. She came to me and asked why it was making a funny sound. Not being near the car i asked what it sounded like. She said a clock. I asked her if any lights on her dash were on and she said that the funny spout one. She did not have her car with her so i told her to check her oil and every other fluid. She got her dad to help her open her hood and check the oil. None showed on the stick so he added 2 quarts. I asked her the next day and she said that ther was oil on the stick now. I asked her if it was at the full mark. She said that no it was at the end of the tip. did she need more. I told her yes that she needs to keep an eye on it but I would add more. She said that she would get her boyfriend to do it tomorrow. I told my friend that her car would not last much longer. The neice looked at me like i was stupid. I think that they need to add a general discussion to the drivers ed classes in high school about maintenance.
