    Jerry Clayton's magnificent "California Chargers"

Following a suggestion by Bob Parmenter, I am re-posting a thread concerning the California Chargers on to the new servers

Jerry Clayton, a member of this forum, and his partner John Keeling built some of if not the prettiest dragsters and funny cars back in the '60's and '70's ............ they were beautiful pieces of form and function ............. and quite advanced for their time

It has been my pleasure to reproduce three of these vehicles in plastic and resin ............. and while they are not 100% historically correct, they do give the viewer a good representation of these rolling pieces of automotive art

The first is their front engine fuel dragster .................

............. the second is their '77 Trans Am Firebird bodied flopper ..............

............. and the last one I completed was a replica of their rear engine fuel dragster ............

Thanks Jerry ............ for all the memories
