I hear I-80 is shut down in the Omaha area.
It is just starting to rain/sleet here.
I would rather have 10 inches of snow than 1 inch of freezing rain.

I was so mad I could hardly think.
Life without Speed channel??? Can't even imagine it!!!! Snowing here today so gonna go hide in the garage. Maybe it'll be spring when I come out????
its in the 60s here , ya just gotta love dixie! but what yall get , we get eventually , yall be safe..
id rather be working on the streetrod than watch speed channel, but the cars 24 miles from the house and i aint going out in that stuff, no way!
Snow just started to fall here in the NW, means you guys should get more in a day or two.
SUNSHINE AND GOING TO BE 70 HERE TODAY wish we could get some snow but i but hated to drive in it when working didn,t mind snow so bad but hated ICE
Crummy weather is promised for tomorrow and Monday here on the Frozen Tundra of Upstate NW. Maybe my outside neglected honey do list will be suspended for a while - tho I do have to put the blower on the tractor - but it's more exciting in the snow.
I liked Speed Channel for several years - then they turned to Pinks 37 or so times a day with a few ricer shows and a biker thing thrown in for good measure. No stockers, open wheelers or even Australian V8 super cars to speak of any longer.
I think I'll go color sand another piece of my car!!
just snow and sleet here so its not so bad. its a good day to perfect my way of getting corn in the basement for the corn burner. my method of hauling it down with 5 gal pails kinda stinks.
i got my shed closed in yesterday though and the tractor sitting inside just waiting to make a pile of snow **)
im gonna crank up the harley and go for a spin later..:D

Yea we have that weather coming here tomorrow. Great! Ya I'd take a few feet of snow over the ice anyday.
maybe I'll warm up the car before I hit the mall for some *scenery* to brighten a gloomy day here
When I was a kid I used to put chains from old snowblower tires on my go kart tires and try to drive in the snow!! Figured if it worked for the old mans car it would for my kart. LOL Also did small pop rivits for "ice" tires. LOL. Neither worked very well but it helped pass the time and was fun to try.

Man you are scaring me.I just sold my son's (ebay)99 911 Carrera to a guy in Monroe,Ia.He was to pick the car up last Fri.His friend has a small plane and he was going to bring him down to pick it up.With what you are saying he may not make it til the spring thaw.I hope I don't lose him.Quote:

ooh 911 carrera.
uhmmmm buy some corn and burn it instead of wood
great now Dishnetwork is down cause of the ice/snow
as long as that complete b/s show pinks, isnt on i can watch it, i still like watching the american muslce car series.
I was hoping that here in south central Pa we would miss the snow and freezing rain, but they say it ain't so. Got my tractor chains on and the snow blade mounted and the rear mount snow blower ready and sitting in the wings, so I'm ready for some snow. Now if it's just freezing rain, I got my sat tv and plenty of gas for the fireplace plus a whole lot of brew and I ain't going nowhere.
It's been snowing since 9:00am here, suppose to snow till tomorrow :HMMM: , they say it could be as much as 15"
I Need to Sell my House !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :( So I can move to TN.
I still need to get a tranny for my Blazer, my Mustang convert has 295X50X15's on the rear, and 215X55X15's of the front, and lowered 1.5", NOT for driving in the snow.
Pat
just went out for a cruise here, half the town has no power
damn, the half town with the bars...
but then again, MY furnace/tv works hehehe
How much you got there Bob, we got about a foot now up here
Well here in the great state of NY:eek: , it started to snow last night and we had about 3". At 7:00 this AM it was 14 degrees. Right now around noon it's 30 degrees and very windy with either an ice storm or freezing rain or just plain rain on it's way. Another 5 months to look forward too:CRY:
It snowed about 4" here last night, and they are calling for ice pellets/freezing rain/ rain/ wet snow over the next 24 hours. Its overcast and about 25 degrees F outside right now at 12:12 on Sunday.---Brian
Is it supposed to get lousy here in Upstate NY? Between long postponed honey-dos and building a new computer haven't had time to look:LOL:
I'm far enough north that we are only expecting snow. I hate freezing rain, especially after surviving the big ice storm of '98......14 days without power. :( Thankfully we had a wood stove and lots of wood. :)
rode my harley all day yesterday! mid to lower 60s...:D
but its comin denny , its still warm outside so i can get some honey do's done today buts its looking like rain soon ..
We got about 4", but temps in the mid 30s now so it's starting to melt away. In the lower lands and closer to the Sound it's all melted away already. Supposed to get some high winds later today/tonight, so might have the generator running again!:whacked:Quote:

Its snowing hard here this morning. we got about 8" of new snow last night, and its supposed to snow all day. All the school busses are cancelled.
The schools here are 2 hours late - we had about an 1" of snow but it rained and froze on top of that, but since the temp has gone above 32F (0C for our Canadian and other friends), starting to melt, especially with the salt piled on the roads. Makes me wonder why I'm building a steel car when the residue is there all year though I did seal a bunch of seams on Friday with the 3M 08656 brushable seam sealer. You don't need illegal drugs with that stuff - my head spun up for 2 hours afterwards:cool:
Heck, already a balmy 20 degrees here today!!!!! Maybe the gang is planning a picnic out at the lake for lunch!!!! Better check around, wouldn't want to miss it!!!!!!
One short sled ride last night,,,,,not quite enough snow yet so had to settle for a 90 mph pass in the field across from the store!!!! Just a bit more snow this week, and let the games began!!!!!!!!! My pal Phil had his turbo'd Yamaha out, sure am getting tired of watching his tailight disappear ahead of me.... Where the heck is that nitrous bottle anyway??????
Still snowing hard here. Plows been in twice this morning. My new contract doesn't start till Wednesday, so I'm killing time, leaping all over the hotrod sites giving unsilicited advice to people who won't take it anyways.:D :D :D
Lots of blowing snow here too................am also on the web all day, not going out in this mess.....My advice generally gets ignored too...........
