somthing tri 5 era, that's all I can tell. the headlight, and what I can see of the bumper says GM to me, but not enough for me to give a good identification. whatever it WAS its trash now.
Clearly a '57 Chevy!.......and pretty rusty one, too. Still worth having if it's a desireable bodystyle. There is sheetmetal to rebuild most any part of these.
Good guess Hotrodpaint, not really that bad of rust. It's a 210 V8, powerglide, under 40,000 miles 1 owner. He blew up the small block and parked in the barn. The rust is on the front end, because the door to the barn wasn't always closed.
how much !!!!! now being a 210 does that automatically make it a hardtop im not quite sure on that one. i know that 99 percent of 110's if not all of them were post's
So what's the story. Tell us you bought it. :D :D
Don
210s were the middle line between 150 and Bel Air. The 210 side trim was similar to the Bel Air the biggest distinction being without the "striped" insert on the fin area. Could be either a hardtop or a sedan, hope it's not a 4 door.Quote:

i see a one eyed 57 chebbie lookin at you , great find and looks like some extra pieces and parts , looks like part of a lawn chair sittin up top
it just screams "CUSTOM" and i agree with the others a 4 door is better than a no door:3dSMILE:

Not too bad w/ tri 5 Chevy's. I'v seen a few resto's go for $30-$40k at shows, not great compared to 2dr's, but better than most 4dr cars.Quote:

maby in relation tho, to normal cars, the prices of these 4dr's is a fair price. I mean, if you put Tri 5 chevy in an ad for anything, the price instantly goes up, so possibly the concourse '57 could have brought $50-$100k if it was a 2dr H/T, in relation, $37k seems like a lot, but given market value of tri 5 Chevy's, $20-$50k might be fair market value for a quality 4dr tri 5???
The 210 Hardtop is pretty rare. Most 210s were "posts". I flamed a 210 hardtop recently, and got a close look at it. Compared to a Bel Air 2-door hardtop I had in '67, I think the trim at the top of the fin was shorter, and the stainless trim below the side windows was not there.
The top rear fender trim was like this blue sedan....and the dark red car IS a 210, but has had the rear fender insert added by the present owner. You will notice they also don't have the little louver trim pieces on the front fender.
....and you thought you couldn't learn anything on this site! :-)
those cars are worth that much because of bullsh*t reasons. IMHO. barret jackson syndrome nuff said
I don't care what the reasons are but as long as people are willing to pay those prices, others are willing to build them the cars!!!! A lot of the cars selling for $30K-$50K probably have more then that spent on the build!!!! Unbelievable amount of hours go into a build on a car that brings the big $$$$$ at some of the bigger auctions!!!!! Fit, finish, and detail is light years ahead of the average car on the street. Others are just plain rare, and some just have two guys with lots of $$$$$ that are determined to take that particular car home!!!!!Quote:

It is a 2 door no post, The old man that owns it still won't part with it even after I offered cash. He may want me to restore. He needs to clean a bunch of stuff out of his barn. I fell into this because he had 4.3 V6 with 5 speed transaxle I needed. Will update with more pictures when he get the barn cleaned and can get to more than the front end.
Brad
