congrats on the new job, my step father his whole life, if you were to ask him how he was. his answer always was, couldnt be better. even on his last day on earth that was his answer. because he knew somewhere someone had it worse. so i try to live up to that as well, some times hard but its true, enjoy your new day and have a better tomorrow!
Live everyday like it were your last, someday it will be.

You are right, you have to take life on it's high moments because it can change on you in a heartbeat, and someone is always worse off than you are, no matter how bad things get.
