You have more than windows....Windows is the operating system. There are applications that you use....your browser that you use to find this is an application. Do you write a letter using your computer? Then, MS Word or MS Works is on there..... There are also trash applications like some of the movie viewers, fax software, games, etc. Your computer has stuff, we just gotta figure out what it has.
